RADAR DAO

RADAR DAO

Collective

RADAR

Radar is a decentralized collective. We identify, track and evaluate evolving, novel and cultural or cultural shifts. In each cycle we choose one future that we all get behind. We engage and inspire builders to bring that future closer to reality. We give people ownership in that future to become citizens of it.

We believe ‘the future belongs to those who think about it’. Set into action, that means it’s our mission to inspire more people, and we mean waaaay more people to think about and build better futures. But not just more of the same: we’re talking about truly, deeply inclusive futures, which means bringing together perspectives from around the world and across every walk of life into the center of the stories we tell and futures we imagine.

Elliot Montgomery

Professor

Lawrence Technological University

Elliot Mongtomery is senior strategic foresight specialist at Autodesk. He says futures are social constructs of a later time, and they help us explore change. While futures are not strategy, they can offer insights that drive towards strategies or plans. As a design researcher, strategist and educator his work focuses on foresight and speculative inquiries into the impacts of social, technological and environmental change. He is currently Senior Strategic Foresight Specialist at Autodesk. He formerly served as Assistant Professor of Strategic Design at Parsons School of Design, The New School. He is also the co-founder of The Extrapolation Factory, an award winning design-futures research studio based in Brooklyn. He was previously a design research resident at the US Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency, Energy as well receiving the Graham Foundation's Individual Grant and The Shed's Open Call commission. He holds a Master's in Design Interactions from the Royal College of Art in London and a Bachelor's in Industrial Design from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

What's the format?

Come prepared for a meaningful, rich discussion. We believe discussion and conversation, in a world where we often find ourselves on the receiving end of a firehose of ideas, is dramatically undervalued.

SuperSeminar is not your usual online presentation platform. We've inverted the model.

No more long presentations followed by 0 minutes for deep discussion, engagement, and Q&A.

In SuperSeminar, our presenters offer a tight 15-20 minute evocation, sharing brief insights on the topic from their experience. Then, much like a graduate seminar or salon, we #discuss the topic, offering attendees a unique opportunity to engage in a dialogue with the presenters and other attendees.
